SoundSpot - Cymbal |

Applying
The
Pickup |
Use super glue (cyanoacrylate) to adhere the metal side
of the pickup disc to the side of the glass. Make sure that
the area to be glued is clean and completely dry. While gluing
the disc to the surface, press the pickup against the glass
using a pencil eraser; this will provide adequate pressure
to assure a strong bond while minimizing the possibility of
sticking your fingers to the glass or pickup.
|
| Jack |
A 1/4" jack is provided
for the HOT SoundSpot (a mini jack comes with the HOT SoundSpotCymbal),
already attached to the cord. It can be taped to the backside
of the glass or bottle, or allowed to sit on a table near the
glass or bottle. |
| Usage Tips |
Play the side of the glass
or bottle opposite the pickup.
Using a number of glasses, you can assemble a glass harp. When
you use multiple pickups, they can be combined either with a
mixer or by rewiring them in parallel to a single jack. For P.A. and recording applications, a high-quality direct box such as as the D-TAR Solstice or Equinox is suggested. |
