The
Pickup

Before you proceed, remove the nameplate stickers from the pickup discs. Instead of gluing the pickups to the instrument, you must wedge them under the bridge with their metal side against the bouzouki’s top. Make sure that the pickups are clamped under the outermost points of the bridge’s sides (you can lift the bridge there without first removing the strings). The bridge stands on the pickup discs, which are only about 3/16" (5mm) thick. Only the thinnest part of each disc’s front is pushed under the bridge.

Note: To eliminate rattling, use a piece of tape to secure the cable running from the pickups to the output jack.

Jack A 1/4" output jack is attached to the bottom of the instrument using a dual-locking hook-and-loop strip.
Usage Tips All guitar amps and most other instrument amps are suitable for use with an amplified bouzouki. For P.A. and recording applications, a balanced sound is easily achieved with a high-quality direct box. For P.A. and recording applications, a high-quality direct box such as as the D-TAR Solstice or Equinox is suggested.
